About the process: Our proprietary process involves elements of digital imaging and printmaking as well as classical enameling. First, a background layer of either clear or colored glass is laid down. Then the piece is fired in a kiln at 1600 degrees. After cooling, the design is applied by hand with glass-bearing paint. When dry, we apply powdered clear glass through a sifter, and fire the piece again.
