John Madsen, owner and artisan of Dylan Blue, resides in Memphis TN, with his wife of 30 years, three dogs, and two toads in the garden. He has been practicing the art of personal adornment for ten years, and has published articles in the national magazine, “ Art Jewelry”. While his current passion is enamel, he has crafted jewelry in lost-wax casting, silversmithing, and exotic woods. His unique technique for enamel work combines elements of digital imaging, printmaking, and classic enamel. He has a reverence for the ancient and the symbolic, and is pleased to be a practitioner of an art form (jewelry) that has existed since the dawn of the species.
